Reunion at Thurtene Carnival is packed with exciting events on campus and around St. Louis, but there are a few extra-special reunion experiences you don’t want to miss. These signature events include the Welcome Back Party and the Alumni BBQ, and – of course – your Class of 2006 Party! Welcome back party Friday, april 17 6-9 p.m.
Day one of reunion weekend concludes with our signature Welcome Back Party, an epic celebration. As the sun sets, catch up with old friends over heavy appetizers, desserts, and beer, wine, and soda. Enjoy live music, fun photo opportunities, and an amazing evening with the WashU community.
Alumni bbq Saturday, april 18 11:30 A.M.-1:30 p.m.
Join classmates and their families for a fun-filled afternoon of great BBQ catered by the award-winning Pappy’s Smokehouse. Complimentary beer, wine, and soda will be provided. Enjoy children’s activities and entertainment throughout the event.
good bye brunch sunday, april 19 9 – 11 A.m.

Tyler Survant, AB ’06, received a 2024–25 Fulbright U.S. Scholar award to conduct applied architectural research in Nepal.

If the shoe fits … At first glance, earning an architecture degree might not seem like an obvious path to becoming a shoe designer. But Kristina Grimm, AB’06, turned the problem-solving skills she learned as an architecture student at Washington University into a long and successful career at Reebok.
John Major to WUSTL Class of 2006: ‘Be ambitious, aim high’ Just because graduates have received their degrees does not mean that the learning process has stopped, The Right Honorable Sir John Major told the graduating class of 2006 during the 145th Commencement at WashU. The former prime minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland spoke to an audience of more than 13,000, including some 2,500 graduates, during the May 19 ceremony held in Brookings Quadrangle.
Collaborative by design After more than a decade of making furniture together, Stephanie Beamer, AB ’06; Crystal Ellis, AB ’06; and Hillary Petrie, AB ’06, have a knack for translating each other’s sparks of inspiration into designs. Beamer, Ellis and Petrie — all architecture majors — co-founded their contemporary furniture design company, Egg Collective, shortly after graduating from the College of Architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
