What can I expect from Black Alumni Weekend?

Black Alumni Weekend offers three days of reconnection, reflection, and celebration. From campus tours and curated conversations to city excursions and signature gatherings, this weekend honors the brilliance, joy, and impact of Black alumni across generations.

Who is invited?

The entire WashU community is invited to Black Alumni Weekend.

How do I register?

Registration is available online or by phone at 1-800-689-8291 beginning June 24. You may register for just one event, or the entire weekend. Additional events may be added in the future – keep an eye on the BAW schedule for updates!

How do I add additional events to my schedule if I have already registered?

No problem! Please fill out the registration form again, but ONLY sign up for the new/additional events you would like to add.

Are families invited, too?

Yes! Please plan to bring your entire family to enjoy the fun-filled fall weekend in St. Louis! For evening events, our Bear Club child-care program is available for children from infant through age 17. Relax and catch up with classmates while your children are cared for by professionally screened, vetted, vaccinated, and trained Jovie caregivers. 

Bear Club is available on Friday, October 9, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 10, from 5-11 p.m.

What is the cost to attend?

Many BAW events are free to attend. There is a nominal fee for adults and children ages 6 and over to register for events like the BAW Block Party and Soulful Sunday Brunch. Please check the schedule for more information, including cost.

Where should I stay?

Special rates for BAW weekend are available at select hotels. Please make note of reservation deadlines for each hotel.
