Duo protects access to your WUSTL accounts and email, even if your password is guessed or stolen. Universities are prime targets for Internet thieves attempting to gain quick access to personal information and use compromised accounts to attack other businesses and institutions. Many other businesses and universities employ 2FA to enhance security and decrease instances of phishing attacks. Learn more about 2FA.
You can find instructions for reactivating Duo here.
First, make sure we have your preferred email address in your volunteer record by clicking on the Edit Profile link in the Portal. If we do, please also be sure to follow these instructions so that our emails don’t get caught in your spam or junk folders. If you have a Gmail account, make sure to check the promo tab. If you still aren’t receiving emails or need any assistance, please contact us at 314-935-4826 or collegefairs@wustl.edu.
In order to log into the Volunteer Portal, you will need a WashU Key and password. If you need help retrieving or setting up your WashU Key, please email us.
There may not be any upcoming events currently available in your area.
Don’t worry—we’ll email you as soon as relevant opportunities become available, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox!
Each year, College Fair volunteers must complete a Confidentiality Form before accessing any information in the Portal.
To complete the form, click the red Confidentiality Form button on the Portal Home page. Once submitted, you’ll be redirected back to the home page, and your information will appear.
Raising your hand simply lets us know you’re interested in staffing a particular fair. You will receive a confirmation email if you are selected to staff the event. If you are not selected, you’ll also receive an email notification.
Click on the Fair Name in the My Events section of the Portal. If another volunteer or an Admissions Officer will be staffing the event with you, you will see their name(s) listed. You can find contact information for other assigned volunteers by clicking on their name(s), as well.
Make sure you’ve completed the Confidentiality Form by clicking the red Confidentiality Form button on the Portal Home page. If you’ve submitted the form, but still don’t see events listed, it’s possible that another volunteer may have already signed up to staff the fair.
We will email you each time a fair within 25 miles of your address is added to your Portal view, so keep an eye out for more opportunities to help!
If you’re not available to staff a specific College Fair listed in your volunteer portal, simple select “Not Interested” for that fair.
Choosing “Not Interested” will:
- Stop automatic reminder emails for that specific fair
- Let us know you’re unavailable, so no further action is needed
You may still receive reminders when new fairs are added to your portal. These emails are just a prompt to log in and review new opportunities. For any fair you can’t staff, you can again select “Not Interested.”
When you are available, just raise your hand in the portal to indicate interest in the fairs you’d like to staff.
Due to the large number of College Fairs we staff each year and the wide variety of table sizes and configurations used by host organizations, we provide a WashU-branded table runner rather than a full tablecloth.
The table runner is designed to:
- Fit both long and short tables
- Work with different table depths and layouts
- Keep the WashU logo centered and outward-facing
- Be easy to pack, transport, and reuse across many events
Each College Fair kit includes a WashU runner intended to be placed in the center of the table, with registration cards and pens arranged on either side (see setup diagram in the Admissions Guide included in your materials).
If a school provides a tablecloth, you’re welcome to place the WashU runner on top of it. If not, the runner alone is sufficient and consistent with our standard College Fair setup.
