Reunion at Thurtene Carnival is packed with exciting events on campus and around St. Louis, but there are a few extra-special reunion experiences you don’t want to miss. These signature events include the Welcome Back Party and the Alumni BBQ, and – of course – your Class of 2022 Party! We’re eagerly working on a full schedule, so check back in early 2027 to read about all the receptions, tours, and events we have planned.
1st Reunion Happy Hour
Reconnect with the Class of 2026. Enjoy an open bar, gourmet food stations, and fun photo opportunities while sharing memories with old friends.

Welcome Back Party
Friday, April 16 • Evening
Day one of reunion concludes with our signature Welcome Back Party. As the sun sets, catch up with old friends over heavy appetizers, desserts, and beer, wine, and soda.
Alumni BBQ
Saturday, April 17 • Afternoon
Join classmates and their families for a fun-filled afternoon of great BBQ catered by Pappy’s Smokehouse. Beer, wine, and soda will be complimentary.
Goodbye Brunch
Sunday, April 19 • Morning
Gather with friends once more and toast to a successful reunion weekend. Enjoy classic brunch favorites and, of course, mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Wearing the bold colors of their residential colleges and waving WashU pennants, the 1,826 members of the Washington University in St. Louis Class of 2026 converged Saturday, Aug. 27, in Brookings Quadrangle for the annual Convocation ceremony, one of the university’s most beloved (and loudest) traditions.

WashU researcher Douglas Chalker almost never misses the Undergraduate Research Symposium. After 25 years of teaching and mentoring hundreds of students, he knows it’s important to show support. But a different reason pulls Chalker back each semester.
Class of 2026 arrives on campus
Caleb Feaman was among hundreds of university employees and students who welcomed the Class of 2026 to the South 40 on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19 and 20. Hailing from 48 states and 27 countries, this class is the most diverse in university history: 20% of students are Pell Grant-eligible, 15% are the first in their families to attend college and 51% identify as students of color.
